Collaborative programmes and Extension Work
ELTI, Assam also conducts teacher training programmes in collaboration with organisations of national and international repute. It also works in collaboration with Govt. and Statutory Bodies in charge of formal education in the state and teachers associations at the district level. The organisations with which ELTI, Assam has organised teacher training programmes or workshops to develop teaching learning material or fact finding workshops are the EFLU,Hyderabad, SCERT,Assam, SSA,Assam, RMSA,Assam, SEBA, AHSEC, All India Radio,British Council,RELO etc. ELTIA extends its services to some of the organisations just mentioned to conduct teacher training programmes, prepare materials for training programmes, prepare textbooks and other teaching learning materials, and translate materials from English to other languages and to English from other languages. We are the member of different committees, boards constituted by the Govt. of Assam and other statutory bodies in charge of formal education in Assam for English teaching learning in Assam and provide suggestions and support in our capacity as the member.
